Lions club of Mysore South donated a Bio-Mass Cooking System to "Sneha Bhavan" Home for the Mentally Challenged children at Bilekere near Mysore on 21 September 2009.Lion Jaswanth Shah, region Chairperson 2 was the Chief Guest.

Doctors day was celebrated on the 29th of August 2009, at the CSI Holdsworth Memorial Hospital, Mysore. Dr. B.D.R Paul and Dr. Shanthi Paul were the reciepents of the prestigious "DAKSHINA KESARI BEST DOCTORS 2009 AWARDS"
Dr. Reuben Prakash, Director of the Hospital was the geust of honour.
